Bear Raids Bird-Feeder

It seems I have begun another series - this one having to do with bears! So, here's the next installment... These pictures were taken in Minnesota, and tell the story on their own. Just remember these pictures next time you start to curse the squirrels for emptying your bird-feeder!

Now that would be a sight to see! LOL Bears are certainly a creative lot when it comes to obtaining food. I can't imagine the contents of the bird feeder being very filling, though. LOL
My "bear" story.. our family went camping at Calaveras Big Trees in Calif. one year and we had salmon patties for dinner. The discarded leftovers are a very attractive aroma for bears. So, my dad thought he'd be funny and tie the trash can lids down. Later that night, my dad, mom and the ranger were all trying to wake my brother up in the front seat of the car to turn on the headlights. He was sawing logs. The bears probably woke up the whole campgrounds, sans one. My sister finally jumped over the seat and switched on the lights so we could see the disgruntled bears give up and head off into the night.

I've gotta assume that a telephoto lens was used to take these shots.

What!? How does the rope hold the bear?!? And I would be interested to know how the bear got down from there! Wow. Has this bear been recently released from some circus??
