I've never been a fan of New Year's Resolutions, and this article in Fast Company does a good job of verbalizing why. Here's a little snippet:
"What's fun about goals is the end point, the completion... What's fun about resolutions, on the other hand, is the announcement. Resolutions feel good coming out of our mouths, but they lack enforcement."
