The first iPod was sold in November 2001, which means that selling 100 million iPods in five and a half years makes the iPod the fastest selling music player in history. [HT: AppleInsider) I've bought two so far (I donated my first iPod to some lucky Northwest Airlines passenger) and would like to get another for my wife when the budget allows. The other day on a run my wife and I passed two junior high girls walking together - they both were listening to iPods while they talked to each other. Do you have an iPod, or are you still attempting to "buck the trend"?
No ipod...not sure if I will get one...I have the RCA Lyra...I like the subscription model better then the itunes model for music, just wish there was more content on Yahoo Music.

I tried to buck the trend, but then I won a Nano in a drawing at a conference. I was hooked. I have since passed the Nano to my wife (who never uses it, but that's okay) and have a new video iPod. Loving it.

Went generic with a cheap SanDisk SD player. It works. I'd sort of like the real thing, but just wouldn't use it enough to justify it.

I have an iPod video, my husband has a shuffle and I used to have an iPod mini.
I love my iPod video. I have a newborn (he's two weeks old) and my iPod video has made this sleep deprived season SO much easier than with my other two kids.
I've bought a couple movies and during those middle of the night feedings I just watch a movie and it keeps me awake and alert and much less miserable. I almost look forward to be awakened so that I can find out what happens next in the movie.
By the way, I bought my iPod Video from the Apple website and saved a good bit of money. After much research, I bought one of their refurbished models for $179 (retail was $249). The refurbished models are actually put through more rigorous testing and have the exact same warranty as the shelf models. I haven't had any problems with mine so far and I'm pleased I was able to save $70.

Have a shuffle I got for free. Don't have a good one. Not bucking anything, just poor. Would love to own one at some point.
