wow. . i've seen this before somewhere, or something very similar. . sobering. I spend on average $175/week on groceries for our family. a bit extra on top of that when i go to the farmer's market. not a big fan of processed stuff, so of course you have to buy more 'raw ingredients' when you make that decision to rid yourself of 'garbage' food.

I like how the American table is covered with colorful, pre-processed packages of who knows what. Every other family, except that from Chad, is dominated by fruits and veggies. Of course, the obvious difference in volume and expense speaks for itself.
