I posted a week ago about my parents who are currently in Mongolia. Thanks to those of you who have been praying for them. I just got the first few pictures from there this morning and thought I'd share them with you. These are from a 2 week trip dad took with a few Mongolian veterinarian team members out to remote parts of the South Gobi Desert to check in with the veterinarians out there. You'll remember I mentioned that because of his afternoon with camels in the Calgary Zoo dad is now considered the camel expert - therefore, I present to you the following picture: "dad and camel".
He's about to take off on another trip about the same length of time. For those of you who ARE praying for them, here's what he has to say about the upcoming trip: "My departure for Boyon-Ogli is set for June 19th.
I would appreciate your prayers for this trip into Muslim territory. This will be the first time V.E.T. Net has traveled into this predominantly Kazakh province... We will teach 62 veterinarians their continuing education material and share our lives. My responsibility is to lead our V.E.T. Net team of 5 through daily devotionals and teach the Kazakh vets 'Onion Poisoning' and 'White Muscle Disease in Mongolian Livestock'."
Meanwhile, "back at the ranch", mom is continuing to edit/work on the 2009 Continuing Education material for the vets there and just finished teaching a Bible study on Leviticus. Some of the locals will be taking her camping while dad is gone, so I'm looking forward to hearing stories/seeing pictures of that!
Thanks again for your prayers for them - I will continue to keep you updated as I get news from them. They are so thankful for your prayers!
Do you know where people can get a GalileoScope?

This is cool. There isn't a lot of info about Mongolia on the internet. It's nice to know there are people out there blogging about it.
If anyone reading this is interested, I'm trying to promote a campaign to get a GPS system in rural Mongolia -- this was teachers and school supplies can better get to isolated areas.
Here is the link: https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/proving-the-impact-with-gps
If you have a moment to spare please take a look. We only need $180 to make it a reality!
